My name is Tom Thomas and I have been in the after-market in-the-home business trade for over 30 years.
I have sold millions of dollars of products and services in the home for various industries. I have been a business owner of a multimillion dollar business and a consultant to other business owners.
I have worked in both interior and exterior home improvement services and products.
Some of the products that I represented were GE, Whirlpool, Carrier, United Technologies, American Standard, Ingersol Rand, LM Scofield, Bard, First Company, ADT-Tyco, Goodman, Amana, Florida Heat Pump, Rheem, Ruud, Westinghouse, Lambert, Mitsubishi, Porter Paints, Lasting Impressions, Inco, and others.
I have extensive training in sales, but the in-home marketplace is uniquely different from other retail or wholesale sales, because the In Home Consultant needs to go into the person’s home, and address issues not found in other locations, while moving the sale forward – to the install – and beyond.
Many years ago, when I opened my own business, I quickly realized that not only did I need to think selling, but as the business owner I also had overhead and a crew that I needed to keep busy. I knew that I needed a consistent and reliable way to generate and close more sales – complete with satisfied customers who were happy to give recommendations and referrals.
Over the years I have perfected this system and successfully trained my own and other sales staff.
